Dedication Site

Just outside of Brussels is a quiet little spot where the Belgium Brussels mission was dedicated by Elder Holland. President Harrison took us there the first day of our mission and also the last day. It is a very interesting place...

There are three rocks in the middle of a clearing (I was told it was a meteorite that split into three parts). Twelve paths converge at these three rocks like spokes to a hub. I couldn't get the entire panoramic picture, but it's really awesome. The site was chosen because of the symbolism of three (the godhead or perhaps the first presidency of the church) and the twelve apostles.

And I had to throw this picture in... not far from the dedication site is where we used to play ultimate frisbee... and I have a distinct memory of our mission president diving into that canal chasing after a frisbee.

  1. Cool that you got to go back to some of the spots from your mission. Funny to think that you had JUST gotten home from the mission when we were roommates. Fun memories!
